A presenter from the popular show Countryfile is expecting her first child. Sammi Kinghorn, a British world champion wheelchair racer, who began her TV career in 2023 with the BBC, shared the exciting news on Instagram. She and her partner, Callum Aitken, were seen in a video wearing caps labeled ‘mum’ and ‘dad’, holding up a scan photo and baby boots. In her post, she expressed her anticipation of meeting their baby in July.
Reflecting on a life-changing incident in 2010 that left her paralyzed from the waist down, Sammi recalled growing up on a farm in Scotland with her family. She recounted a day when she climbed onto a forklift driven by her father, Neil, resulting in a tragic accident that led to her paralysis.
Despite the challenges, Sammi has embraced her wheelchair sports career. She represented Team GB at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, securing a gold medal in the T53 Women’s 100m and silver in the 400m, 800m, and 1,500m events.
Her story of resilience and success has inspired many, and for more showbiz updates, follow Mirror Celebs on social media platforms like TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Threads.
