“Victim of Jeffrey Epstein Ignored by UK Police”

Published on

Newly released documents reveal that a victim of Jeffrey Epstein claims she was disregarded by the Metropolitan Police six years ago when she tried to provide evidence. The woman, who had photographs taken on Epstein’s island and emails containing flight details, reached out to report a sex trafficking ring and those responsible for her assault, as stated in a document published by the US Department of Justice.

Despite her efforts, the woman stated that she was directed to a local police station outside of the UK where officers did not speak English. Feeling ignored by various authorities, including the FBI and Scotland Yard, she expressed frustration in a letter to US attorney Sigrid McCawley.

Court documents disclosed that the woman endured multiple rapes daily while held captive at Epstein’s former residence on Little Saint James island in the US Virgin Islands. She was a 22-year-old fashion student in Manhattan when she first encountered Epstein in 2006.

In 2018, the woman settled her legal case against Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Three months ago, London police reopened investigations into trafficking allegations related to Epstein after initially declining to probe the matter.

Further details from the Department of Justice indicate that the woman provided crucial evidence for Virginia Giuffre’s civil lawsuit against Maxwell. Notably, she shared redacted images of other unidentified women and Maxwell on Epstein’s island, along with a 2006 photo of Peter Mandelson with Epstein.

Regarding Mandelson, the former Labour minister was arrested by the Met Police due to misconduct suspicions related to his association with the sex offender. However, there is no implication of his involvement in trafficking or sex crimes.

The woman’s evidence, highlighted in one of the released files, includes photographic documentation of Epstein, Maxwell, Jean Luc Brunel, and other individuals, as well as flight logs and email exchanges.

In a prior examination in 2015, the Met Police had looked into Mountbatten-Windsor’s behavior following claims by Giuffre. However, no formal investigation was initiated due to insufficient evidence of wrongdoing in the UK.

A spokesperson for the Met Police mentioned that there was no record of the woman’s call.
