The body of a soap opera actress has been found in a wooded area near her crashed car, days after she went missing.

Magdalena Majtyka, known for her roles in Na Wspólnej and Pierwsza Miłość, left her residence on March 4, informing her family she was going to meet an old school friend briefly. However, concerns arose when she did not return home, leading to a search effort and police involvement.

After several days, authorities made a grim discovery. Her Opel Corsa was found abandoned on a secluded road near Biskupice Oawskie in southern Poland, having apparently collided with a tree before being deserted. Within a day, Majtyka’s body was located about 650 feet away in the forest.

Reports from the Express indicate that injuries from the crash have been ruled out as the cause of her death, as per the Daily Star.

Investigators have stated that there is currently no indication of anyone else being involved in the incident.

Public prosecutor Damian Pownuk confirmed that further tests, including histological and toxicological examinations, will be conducted on the actress’s body to determine the exact circumstances of her death.

He added, “The final cause of death will be determined based on these results.”

Majtyka’s husband, filmmaker Piotr Bartos, had previously made a public appeal on social media while the search was ongoing.

Her sudden demise has deeply saddened fans and the entertainment community in Poland, where she had gained popularity through her roles in Na Wspólnej and Pierwsza Mio over the years, earning a devoted following and becoming a beloved on-screen personality.

Authorities are treating the circumstances surrounding her death as unexplained until the forensic examinations are concluded. They are working to piece together her last known movements, including identifying the individual she was supposed to meet and the events that led her to the remote woodland area.
