The royal siblings are said to be frustrated by Buckingham Palace’s lack of public support amidst emerging details connecting them to the convicted sex offender. The princesses’ involvement in a trip to the United States with their mother Sarah Ferguson to meet Epstein in 2009, shortly after his release from prison for soliciting a minor, was revealed earlier this year from the Epstein Files.
While there is no implication of any wrongdoing on the part of Beatrice or Eugenie, concerns have arisen following revelations that the sisters had expressed interest in joining their mother on the trip. This revelation has led to a shift in the public perception towards the princesses, with a notable withdrawal of public backing. Despite their father’s denial of any misconduct, the royal family’s ties to Epstein have cast a shadow over the York family.
The King, who had previously extended support to Andrew and Sarah by inviting them to his Sandringham estate for Christmas, has now seemingly distanced himself from the situation. Reports suggest that the King may exclude Beatrice and Eugenie from attending Royal Ascot in June, a traditional event for the royal family. The sisters, although not full-time working royals, maintain residences on royal estates as part of agreements made with the King, raising questions about the stability of their titles and privileges in light of their parents’ actions.
