Police in Bradford have sadly discovered a body during their search for a missing woman from the Apperley Bridge area. The body, believed to be that of Jane, 52, who disappeared on February 24, was found by underwater search teams in the River Aire at Kirkstall, Leeds. Although formal identification is pending, Jane’s family has been notified of the development.

Detective Inspector Andy Queen of Bradford CID expressed that extensive efforts have been made over the past few weeks to locate Jane, leading to the tragic discovery. Specialized officers are offering support to her family during this challenging period. The public’s assistance in sharing the appeal for information on Jane’s whereabouts is appreciated.

Items belonging to Jane were located on the riverbank near Apperley Road in the Apperley Bridge area during the search. Mrs. Hiles, a former police officer who worked as a dog groomer and frequented the Apperley Bridge region for walks, was the subject of a thorough search operation before the grim finding was made.
