A former contestant from the reality show “Big Brother” has been apprehended for allegedly stealing from an American tourist. Luciana Martínez was captured in a peculiar arrest photo, grinning in her residence alongside a police officer. The purported theft occurred at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Friday, March 13.
According to reports, the 40-year-old American visitor met Martínez and her manager, Cristian Wagner, at a nightclub. They all proceeded back to the tourist’s hotel room after a night of revelry, where he fell asleep around 6:56 am the following morning. Upon waking up after noon with limited recollection of the night before, he realized he was alone and that several valuables, including his passport, digital watch, backpack, and even underwear, were missing.
Subsequently, he reported the incident to the police, leading to the arrest of Martínez, a transgender woman, and Wagner. A search at Wagner’s residence uncovered a bag containing the tourist’s passport, glasses, watch, clothing, and other items. Allegedly, the tourist claimed that Martínez and Wagner intoxicated him to facilitate the theft, as per information from Creatorzine.
Surveillance footage purportedly depicts Wagner departing the hotel around 7 am, while Martínez remained in the man’s room until approximately 10:30 am. Their identities were documented at the hotel, aiding law enforcement in their identification. Furthermore, a staff member recognized Martínez from television, where she participated in the 2024 edition of Gran Hermano, Argentina’s equivalent of “Big Brother.”
Martínez gained attention for candidly sharing her journey of gender transition but was eliminated from the show midway through the competition. A video of her audition, in which she discloses personal details, has since garnered significant online attention.
Both Martínez, who describes herself as a public figure and dancer on her Instagram profile, and her manager are currently in custody awaiting questioning by authorities.
