Catherine Tyldesley gained fame for her role as Eva Price on the popular TV show “Coronation Street,” but who is her spouse in real life?
After joining the soap opera in 2011, Tyldesley quickly became a beloved figure among viewers. Despite bidding farewell to the show in 2018, she made a triumphant return in October of last year to take charge at the Rovers Return.
While Eva’s on-screen romantic life has been full of drama, Catherine herself has found stability in her relationship with husband Tom Pitfield. The couple met in January 2014 at a gym, and within nine months, they were expecting their first child and had become engaged.
In May 2016, Catherine and Tom exchanged vows in a lavish ceremony attended by several of their “Coronation Street” colleagues. The couple welcomed their first child, Alfie James, in March 2015, and their second child, Iris Ella, arrived in 2022.
Tom Pitfield also had his share of the limelight with a role on ITV’s consumer show “Eat, Shop, Save,” where he offered fitness advice to families aiming to adopt healthier lifestyles. Despite being new to television, Tom embraced the experience and received guidance from Catherine on adjusting his speech due to his regional accent.
In a recent revelation in April 2023, Catherine disclosed that Tom discovered a lump in his breast, raising awareness about male breast cancer. Fortunately, after medical evaluation, the lump was identified as a common condition called gynaecomastia.
Catherine emphasized the importance of men being aware of the possibility of breast cancer, encouraging them to monitor for symptoms like lumps or nipple discharge. She expressed her relief at Tom’s diagnosis and expressed gratitude to the NHS and his medical team.
“Coronation Street” can be watched on ITV1 and ITVX from Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm.
