Jimmy Carr has shared that he only eats once a day, preferring to consume black coffee and water, and maintains a keen awareness of his weight and physique. The comedian has previously discussed how being in the spotlight has heightened his self-criticism regarding his appearance, attributing some of his body image struggles to the passing of his mother nearly 25 years ago.
During a conversation with Katherine Ryan, Jimmy acknowledged his body consciousness and highlighted the misconception that body dysmorphia is typically associated with women. He mentioned on Katherine’s podcast, What’s My Age Again?, that he is attentive to his weight and tends to eat only one meal a day, usually in the evening.
Despite his dietary habits, Jimmy confessed to indulging in junk food, particularly enjoying plain cheeseburgers or nuggets while on tour. He expressed a fondness for McDonald’s, emphasizing his trust in the consistency of their food quality across different locations.
Reflecting on his mother’s untimely death due to health issues, Jimmy underscored the importance of maintaining his health and fitness to avoid a similar fate. He also candidly admitted to having a penchant for cosmetic procedures, having undergone various treatments like fillers, botox, veneers, and a hair transplant.
