Pete Bowditch, who gained fame alongside his partner after losing consciousness while suspended above a stage in Chicago, Illinois, recently shared his recovery progress with fans.

The London-based duo, both in their 70s, surprised fans with a video showing Bowditch hanging above the stage before passing out. Despite the scary moment, he has now shown signs of improvement, as seen in a video where he thanked his supporters while enjoying a pint in his hospital room.

In the video, Pete expressed gratitude for being alive and announced plans for a 14-date US tour with Bas in June as a celebration of his recovery. Fans flooded the comments section with well wishes, with some expressing skepticism about the incident being a publicity stunt.

Pete and Bas, who started their musical journey in 2017, drew inspiration from drill music’s storytelling elements. Pete, a retired Royal Mail worker, discovered rap and grime through his granddaughter and decided to pursue music with Bas. Since gaining popularity, the duo has released new music, performed in various European cities, and released their debut album “Mugshot” in 2024.
