“Should Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie Surrender Titles?”

Published on

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are facing growing demands to relinquish their royal titles amidst the ongoing Epstein scandal involving their parents. Mirror readers have expressed strong opinions on the matter, with a significant number advocating for the sisters to have their titles removed either voluntarily or through official parliamentary action.

In a recent poll conducted by Mirror, over 12,000 participants shared their views on whether Beatrice and Eugenie should be stripped of their titles. The results revealed a close split among respondents, with 56 percent (6,885 individuals) in favor of revocation, while 42 percent (5,221 readers) believed the sisters should retain their titles, leaving 2 percent (214 respondents) undecided.

Following the decision to strip Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor of his titles last October, the focus has shifted to the princesses. Despite not being directly implicated in the Epstein scandal, there is a growing chorus calling for Beatrice and Eugenie to consider renouncing their royal titles in light of their parents’ involvement.

The sisters, who hold HRH and princess titles inherited from their father, have expressed their desire to maintain their royal status, which they see as integral to their identity. While they have not been linked to any wrongdoing, their names appearing in the Epstein files have raised questions about their association with their parents’ dealings.

Opinions among royal commentators vary regarding the sisters’ titles, with some arguing that renouncing them could have unintended consequences, potentially suggesting guilt. Conversely, others believe that relinquishing their titles is necessary to avoid leveraging their royal status for personal gain, similar to their parents’ actions.

As the debate continues, the sisters find themselves at a crossroads, balancing public perception, familial ties, and personal ambitions. The future of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and their royal titles remains a topic of intense scrutiny and speculation.
