Iran’s top military leadership has declared their commitment to fight until achieving “complete victory.” Major General Ali Abdollahi Aliabadi of the Khatam-al Anbiya Central Headquarters made these remarks following reports of ongoing negotiations between Tehran and Washington to end the conflict.

In a televised statement, Aliabadi emphasized the strength and determination of Iran’s armed forces in safeguarding the nation’s integrity, pledging to continue on the path to complete victory. While the exact definition of “complete victory” was not specified, it seemed to signal Iran’s readiness to resist making concessions in potential talks with the United States.

Despite refuting any ongoing discussions, Iran’s foreign minister has engaged with regional counterparts. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also reaffirmed intentions to strike Iran and Lebanon, even as the possibility of a ceasefire is considered, stating that more actions are forthcoming.

Recent events saw Iran launching multiple missile attacks on Israel, resulting in impacts felt in the northern region. Additionally, Israel targeted infrastructure in Beirut used by the Hezbollah militant group, an Iranian ally, leading to casualties and destruction in Lebanon’s southern suburbs.

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has claimed over 1,000 lives in Lebanon since resuming on March 2, displacing more than a million individuals. In neighboring countries, Kuwait experienced disruptions in power supply due to air defense incidents, while missile alerts sounded in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia thwarted Iranian drone attacks on vital oil facilities.

Meanwhile, Iran appointed a former Revolutionary Guard commander, Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, as the new secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, succeeding the late Ali Larijani. Zolghadr, a brigadier general in the Guard, previously served as the secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council.
