A manhunt is underway for a suspect who fled on a bicycle following the fatal shooting of a man while he was inside a vehicle near a prominent London train station. The incident occurred near Euston station in central London, where emergency responders arrived after receiving reports of gunshots around 11 pm on Saturday night.
The victim, a 26-year-old man, was found shot inside a car on Chalton Street. Despite efforts by paramedics to save him, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Metropolitan Police have initiated a search for the suspect, who reportedly left the area on a bike upon their arrival.
According to CCTV investigations, the victim was shot multiple times while seated in a white Nissan Juke. Authorities have informed the victim’s family, who are currently receiving support from specialized officers. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed at this time.
Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke, leading the investigation, expressed understanding for the community’s concerns and assured that efforts are underway to apprehend the perpetrator. She urged anyone with information to come forward and assist the police either by calling 101, using online channels, or contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers to provide anonymous tips.
