“Trump Speculates on Cuba: Next Military Target?”

Published on

Speculation is rife about Donald Trump’s contemplation of a potential country for future military action following Iran , hinting at the possibility of another significant conflict on the horizon.

During a recent gathering in Miami, the US president indicated that his attention may turn to Cuba next, labeling the Caribbean nation as an adversary of the United States. Cuba, currently facing a severe food and energy crisis exacerbated by recent US sanctions, has affirmed its readiness in the event of a potential invasion.

Additionally, there are indications that the US might be gearing up for a potential ground incursion in Iran, as evidenced by the recent deployment of thousands of troops to the Gulf region.

Here is a rundown of potential future targets for Donald Trump:

Trump’s recent remarks on Cuba are part of a series of criticisms against the nation, where he has portrayed it as being under the control of “sinister forces of communism and evil.”

During his first term, Trump reversed an agreement established during the Obama administration aimed at normalizing relations between Washington and Havana. Earlier this year, he imposed harsh tariffs on imports from countries supplying oil to Cuba, resulting in severe consequences for the island’s already fragile economy, including widespread blackouts and rationing.

These actions have fueled speculation that a regime change in Cuba could soon become official US policy. Trump expressed his intentions during a press briefing in the Oval Office, stating his belief that he will have the opportunity to take control of Cuba in some manner, considering it a significant honor.

Earlier this year, Trump caused diplomatic tensions with America’s European allies when he suggested the possibility of an American intervention in Greenland, a Danish territory, if Denmark rejected his purchase offers. Although Trump later retracted the military threats, Greenland continues to be a topic of interest for him, particularly in relation to his proposed “Golden Dome” missile defense system.

In light of potential challenges in Iran, Trump may view Greenland as a more straightforward victory, given its limited defenses compared to previous Middle Eastern conflicts involving the US. However, such a move, involving the invasion of a NATO ally, could have significant repercussions.

Colombia has also emerged as a potential target in Trump’s discussions.

Before the US operation against Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro, Trump accused Colombian President Gustavo Petro of involvement in international drug trafficking. However
