In 2024, Amy had to leave the competition with JB Gill due to illness, despite making promising progress. This setback came after her brave return from battling stage three breast cancer, which required chemotherapy and a mastectomy. Last year, her partnership with Thomas Skinner on the show was short-lived as they were eliminated in the first week.
Amy, 35, is eagerly waiting for confirmation about her future on “Strictly Come Dancing.” She expressed her strong desire to return to the show, particularly aiming to reach Blackpool to prove her resilience post-cancer. She also mentioned her aspirations to celebrate her tenth year on the show, explore presenting opportunities, and potentially join the judging panel in the future.

In February 2024, Amy received positive news as her scans showed no signs of disease, although she continues to be under medical supervision during remission. Apart from her cancer battle, Amy also manages Crohn’s disease and has overcome sepsis and a broken foot in the past.
While the BBC has not yet disclosed the professional dancers for the upcoming “Strictly Come Dancing” series, it has confirmed the absence of Karen Hauer, Nadiya Bychkova, Michelle Tsiakkas, and Luba Mushtuk. Karen, a veteran professional dancer on the show, bid farewell with a heartfelt message to her supporters, expressing gratitude for the life-changing experiences and relationships gained through her 14-year journey on “Strictly.”
