A mother has spoken publicly for the first time after her daughter, a social media influencer known as Klaudiaglam, was critically injured in a car crash in Soho. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, also left two other pedestrians injured.
Gabrielle Carrington, a former X Factor contestant who goes by the online alias RIELLEUK, has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the crash. She appeared in court on Tuesday for the hearing.
Klaudia’s mother took to social media to ask for prayers for her daughter, debunking false rumors that circulated claiming her daughter had passed away. She emphasized the need for love, strength, and healing for Klaudia during this challenging time.
Klaudia, a Polish-born influencer with over 258,000 followers on Instagram, was at a nightclub with friends before the accident. She remains hospitalized in critical condition. Additionally, a security guard who was present at the scene suffered life-changing injuries in the same incident.
The police reported that Carrington faces charges of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving, and drink driving. She made a brief appearance in court, where she was remanded in custody until the next hearing at the Old Bailey on May 19. The authorities clarified that the incident is not considered terrorism-related.
