A British operative from special forces has been a source of inspiration for the development of an advanced unmanned aerial vehicle in Ukraine, as the focus shifts to utilizing drones in warfare on the frontlines.

Ukraine is ready to deploy the SHADOX drone, weighing just over a pound and designed for covert reconnaissance missions against Russian forces.

Known as “Price,” the British soldier, currently serving in Kyiv’s special forces, collaborated with a Ukrainian-Estonian defense startup to create the SHADOX drone for combat purposes.

Priced affordably and capable of traveling at a speed of ten yards per second, the drone is intended for short-range reconnaissance missions and targeted attacks against Russian troops.

Oleksandr Davydenko, the CEO of Black Forest Systems, a Ukrainian-Estonian defense firm in Kyiv, expressed regret at having to develop such technology due to the circumstances. He described the drone as a powerful tool that could play a crucial role in the ongoing conflict.

The SHADOX drone, distinguished by its ease of use and quick training process, can be operated with minimal training, making it accessible to frontline troops. It features advanced technology to ensure silent operation and is suitable for specialized military operations.
