Sky Roberts, Ms. Giuffre’s brother, emphasized that a meeting with the monarch would demonstrate solidarity with survivors, including those affected by the actions of Jeffrey Epstein. King Charles and Queen Camilla are scheduled to visit the US for a four-day trip, where they are set to meet with President Donald Trump.

Mr. Roberts and his family view this visit as an opportune moment for King Charles to spare just 10 minutes to meet with them, aiming to humanize their experiences and emotions. During a segment on Newsnight, Mr. Roberts stressed the importance of the King of England standing in support of survivors, highlighting their proximity and presence at the same locations the royal couple will be visiting.

In addition to attending a White House banquet as guests of honor, Charles has been invited to speak at a joint session of the US Congress. Recent investigations by the BBC revealed that Epstein had been housing women in London flats for years after the Metropolitan Police chose not to investigate Ms. Giuffre’s initial allegations in 2015, raising concerns about institutional failures in addressing such claims.

Mr. Roberts criticized both the FBI and the Metropolitan Police for their failure to take Ms. Giuffre’s allegations seriously, suggesting that early intervention could have prevented further instances of abuse. The Roberts family, along with Lisa Phillips, another Epstein survivor, are advocating for a public inquiry into the allegations made by women in the UK against Epstein, underscoring the need for a thorough investigation given the recent revelations about ongoing activities linked to Epstein.

Recent controversy in Congress emerged following reports that certain Republican members of a key committee investigating Epstein were considering offering clemency to Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former partner, in exchange for her testimony.
