Walkers, the leading crisps manufacturer, has decided to discontinue one of its popular snacks for the second time in four years.
Initially, the production of Crinkles crisps was halted in 2022, only to be reintroduced two years later. However, Walkers has now officially announced the permanent discontinuation of the product.
Famed for its perfect crinkle cut and salted flavoring with “more flavor in every ridge,” Crinkles have garnered a loyal following. A spokesperson for the PepsiCo-owned brand informed a fan that the Walkers Crinkles line ceased production in February 2026.
A check on supermarket websites confirms that Crinkles are no longer available in multipacks, leaving many consumers disheartened by the decision.
Fans of the snack expressed their disappointment, with one satisfied customer praising them as “simply brilliant” and highlighting their irresistible flavor and texture. Another enthusiast commended the crunchiness, thicker cut, and crinkled texture of the crisps, emphasizing the perfectly balanced salted flavor.
It remains to be seen whether Walkers will consider fan feedback and potentially reintroduce Crinkles in the future.
Earlier this year, Walkers reintroduced two flavors of crisps that had been discontinued for over two decades, namely Chilli and Cocoa Sensations and Slow-Roasted Lamb and Mini Sauce. These varieties are labeled as limited edition offerings.
However, not all consumers were pleased with the revival, with some expressing dissatisfaction over the taste and comparing them unfavorably to previous versions of the crisps.
As Walkers navigates these product changes, consumer feedback will likely play a crucial role in shaping the brand’s future snack offerings.
