After the intense finale of the reality TV show “I’m A Celebrity… South Africa,” two BBC Radio 2 hosts shared their thoughts on participating in a similar program. The hosts, Ant and Dec, had to intervene during a heated confrontation between contestants David Haye, Jimmy Bullard, and Adam Thomas at the live finale.
Following the on-stage clash, Sinitta and Gemma Collins briefly left the stage, with Gemma later returning. Reflecting on the finale in their Dig It podcast, Jo Whiley and Zoe Ball expressed their reactions. Jo, who had only caught snippets of the series, found the drama confusing and described it as unpleasant.
When asked if she would consider joining such a show, Jo firmly declined, citing her aversion to consuming challenging trial foods like eyeballs and animal parts. On the other hand, Zoe was less definitive, mentioning her children’s potential concerns.
Jo revealed her child’s playful threat of locking her out if she participated, while another child was keen on her involvement. Despite this, she maintained her stance against participating unless her colleague Greg James also joined, highlighting the fun element he would bring.
The discussion led to speculation about Zoe’s potential role in the show, with her pondering the various character types needed within the group. Adam Thomas, the eventual winner of the show, later opened up about his strained relationships with fellow contestants and the emotional toll of camp life.
In a candid podcast appearance, Adam disclosed his reluctance to return to the show, even if offered a substantial fee, expressing the emotional impact the experience had on him.
