Singer and TV personality Cheryl is known for keeping a low profile and being very private about her son Bear, never revealing his full face publicly. However, the Girls Aloud star recently gave a rare glimpse of her nine-year-old son Bear during a family trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The trip was a special tribute to Bear’s late father, Liam Payne, who passed away in 2024.
Cheryl described the two-week vacation as a chance to “embrace my inner child,” sharing on Instagram that “magic still exists in the world.” Joining Cheryl on the trip were Liam’s sister, Ruth Gibbins, along with her husband and son. Ruth mentioned that the visit was “bittersweet” due to her brother’s fondness for the resort.
During the trip, Cheryl and Bear enjoyed various attractions such as Hollywood Studios, Toy Story Mania!, and the Floating Mountains of Pandora in Animal Kingdom. They also watched Mickey Mouse perform. Fans were amazed at how much Bear had grown, with many noting that he is almost as tall as his mom.
Comments poured in on Cheryl’s Instagram post, with followers noting Bear’s resemblance to Liam. Cheryl made sure to hide Bear’s face in all shared photos and videos to protect his privacy. Liam passed away in 2024 at the age of 31, due to injuries sustained from a fall in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Bear was born in 2017 during Cheryl and Liam’s relationship, which ended in 2018 after two and a half years. The couple cited public scrutiny and career demands as factors contributing to their split. Despite the breakup, Cheryl and Liam remained amicable, living close by to co-parent Bear. Cheryl expressed the difficulty of Bear growing up without his father following Liam’s tragic death.
She emphasized that Liam was not just a celebrity but also a beloved family member and father to their son. Cheryl’s heartfelt words shed light on the profound loss their family experienced.
