A tragic accident involving a bus has resulted in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to 31 others on a major highway in Turkey. Reports indicate that the passenger bus veered out of control, crashing into a roadside barrier and overturning.
Emergency services confirmed the fatalities at the crash site, where passengers were thrown into a state of panic due to the bus overturning. The injured individuals were swiftly taken to nearby medical facilities by police and emergency responders who arrived at the scene promptly.
The cause of the accident, which took place in the Bandırma district on the Bandırma-Çanakkale road near the Külefli neighborhood, is still under investigation by authorities. Rescue teams, including police, firefighters, and paramedics, rushed to the location to aid in freeing trapped passengers from the overturned bus.
The deceased have been transported to the morgue at Bandirma Training and Research Hospital, while the highway was temporarily closed for cleanup operations. Following the removal of debris and the bus wreckage, the road has been reopened to traffic.
