In an interview with the Mail, Clare and Alice expressed that while London had been a wonderful chapter for them, their preferences had shifted. They now seek gardens over traffic noise and birdsong over city sirens.

Clare, who hails from a rural background, initially believed she couldn’t adapt to London’s urban environment, finding it overwhelming. Despite this, she persevered for an impressive two decades before embarking on this change.

In a rare disclosure about their partnership, Clare mentioned turning down an opportunity to appear on Strictly Come Dancing out of consideration for Alice’s aversion to dancing. Jokingly, Alice declared she would part ways with Clare if she ever donned sequins for the popular TV show.
