A teenager has been taken into custody in connection with a series of alleged sexual assaults that occurred at a Sainsbury’s superstore. Sussex Police received reports from multiple women regarding incidents that took place on an escalator at the store located in Rustington, West Sussex.

Following collaborative efforts with Sainsbury’s security, the authorities confirmed the arrest of a 19-year-old man from Littlehampton for sexual assault by touching. Sussex Police is urging any witnesses or individuals with relevant information to come forward and assist with the investigation.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police stated, “Our joint investigations with Sainsbury’s security have resulted in the apprehension of a 19-year-old man from Littlehampton on charges of sexual assault by touching.”
