Sir David Attenborough was spotted enjoying a day out with his daughter Susan ahead of his upcoming 100th birthday. The renowned broadcaster and natural historian is preparing to mark the milestone on Friday, May 8, and was seen strolling around London with his only daughter.

Although residing in South West London near Richmond Park, Sir David opted for a car ride into central London. He sported a white trousers ensemble paired with a blue shirt, a light grey V-neck jumper, and a brown blazer. Despite maintaining a low public profile in recent years, he remains active in documentary work.

In the current year, Sir David has been involved in various projects, serving as a narrator and presenter for productions like Wild London and A Gorilla Story: Told by David Attenborough. Additionally, he appeared in a career retrospective titled Making Life on Earth: Attenborough’s Greatest Adventure.

Scheduled for release on his birthday, Sir David is set to feature in David Attenborough’s 100 Years on Planet Earth. Furthermore, he will be presenting Our Story with David Attenborough, a 360-degree immersive exhibit debuting at London’s Natural History Museum on June 19, 2025.

Seen traveling by car to another destination, Sir David was contentedly seated in the passenger seat as his daughter drove. Notably, he has never driven a car, obtained a driver’s license, or owned a car throughout the past ten decades.

Reflecting on his later years, Sir David has expressed concerns about the state of the world and its future ecosystems. In the documentary Ocean: With David Attenborough, he shared insights on his evolving perspectives towards the seas and the planet’s health.

Addressing his own longevity, Sir David attributes his health to dietary changes such as reducing red meat consumption and incorporating more plant-based foods. Emphasizing the benefits of a plant-focused diet, he highlighted the scientific evidence supporting its positive impact on overall health and longevity.
