The Rolling Stones unveiled their latest album in New York with a video showcasing their youthful energy in the studio. Titled “Foreign Tongues,” the album will mark the final appearance of their late drummer Charlie Watts, who passed away in 2021.

According to frontman Mick Jagger, the album features a special recording session with Charlie, highlighting his exceptional drumming skills on a fast-paced punk rock track. Despite being in the twilight of their careers, band members Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood, aged 82, 82, and 78 respectively, show no signs of slowing down.

The new album, praised for its vibrant energy reminiscent of their live performances, includes the single “In The Stars,” released alongside the opening track “Rough And Twisted.” Scheduled for release on July 10, “Foreign Tongues” was predominantly recorded in London within a month, reflecting an intense yet enjoyable creative process.

During the album launch event hosted by Conan O’Brien and attended by celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Jagger emphasized the band’s versatility in exploring various musical styles beyond rock. Guitarist Keith Richards echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the band’s continuous quest for freshness and enjoyment in their music-making process.

The album also features collaborations with renowned artists such as Robert Smith of The Cure, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Paul McCartney, who previously contributed to the band’s 2023 release “Hackney Diamonds.” Wood shared that the album’s creative atmosphere and the band’s exceptional performance during the recording sessions resulted in a collection of tracks that they hope will be well-received.

Scheduled for release on July 10 through Polydor/Universal Music, “Foreign Tongues” will be available in various formats, including CD, cassette, vinyl record, and special box sets. With a remarkable legacy spanning decades, The Rolling Stones continue to captivate audiences with their iconic music and unwavering dedication to their craft.
