Authorities received reports of individuals feeling unwell inside a bank in Golders Green Road around 3:35 pm on Friday, 8 May. Upon arrival, law enforcement, the London Fire Brigade, and the London Ambulance Service swiftly evacuated the premises. Paramedics assessed several people on-site, but no one required hospitalization. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the incident, with specialized officers conducting further inquiries at the location.

London Fire Brigade’s Assistant Commissioner, Pat Goulbourne, stated that firefighters responded to reports of individuals feeling unwell at a bank on Golders Green Road. Despite initial concerns of a potential chemical exposure, thorough searches using monitoring equipment confirmed no hazardous materials were present. Fire crews from various stations attended the scene and managed the situation effectively, with the incident under control by 5:27 pm.

The authorities confirmed that the area is safe, with no elevated levels of dangerous substances detected. The cordon has been lifted, and forensic examinations are underway on-site. Police have reassured the community that there is no broader impact, thanking residents for their cooperation during the emergency response. Additionally, a proactive police deployment has been implemented in the area as a precautionary measure following recent incidents.
