Two individuals have been taken into custody following an alleged rape incident in Doncaster. South Yorkshire Police responded to a call at 2:09 am last Saturday regarding a reported rape on Bank Street in Mexborough. A 48-year-old man was apprehended on suspicion of rape, while a 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault the following day. Both suspects have been released on bail as further investigations are underway.
Descriptions provided depict one suspect as a white male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, of average build, and bald, while the other is described as a white male, around 6 feet tall, with a slim physique. The victim is currently receiving specialized support.
Detective Chief Inspector Susannah Wagstaff affirmed, “We understand that this incident may evoke concern within our community, but I want to assure you that our detective team is diligently advancing this investigation.”
