The National Crime Agency (NCA) has identified 12 wanted criminals believed to be evading capture in Spain. These fugitives are being sought for various offenses, including murder, drug trafficking, and money laundering as part of Operation Captura. Among them are a double murderer, a notorious drug dealer, and a rapist reported to be in Benidorm.
Authorities suspect that some of these criminals may have undergone surgical procedures to alter their appearance as they blend in with British tourists in popular Spanish destinations. Over the past year, 56 criminals have been extradited from Spain to the UK.
NCA’s director general of operations, Rob Jones, emphasized that Spain is not a safe haven for fugitives, warning that they will be relentlessly pursued and brought to justice. He highlighted the continued threat these fugitives pose to both Spanish and UK communities, urging the public to report any information that could assist in apprehending these individuals.
One of the most wanted criminals is Kevin Thomas Parle, wanted in connection with the murders of Liam Kelly and Lucy Hargreaves. Parle, a towering figure at 6ft 4in, has been on the run for more than two decades and is considered a highly dangerous individual with suspected links to various countries.
The list also includes individuals like Francis David Parker, a member of a notorious crime gang involved in drug trafficking, and Alexsandr Vladimirovich Kuksov, accused of laundering money for UK drug dealers using cryptocurrency. These fugitives are believed to be exploiting the anonymity of expatriate communities in Spain to continue their criminal activities.
The NCA’s campaign, in collaboration with Crimestoppers and Spanish law enforcement, aims to encourage the public to report any relevant information anonymously. By providing contact numbers for reporting, the agency seeks to prevent further harm and bring fugitives to justice.
