Lady Louise Windsor has taken on a new role, with her employer emphasizing that she receives no special treatment due to her royal status. The daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh is currently working discreetly as one of the main organizers at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, an event held annually in the vicinity of Windsor Castle every May. This show held special significance for Louise’s late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Despite being a 22-year-old student at St. Andrews University, following the example of her cousin Prince William and his wife Kate, Louise has started working at the horse show and has been praised for her dedicated work ethic. Nick Brooks-Ward, the Director of the Royal Windsor Horse Show, commended Lady Louise for her contributions, highlighting her effectiveness in running a concierge service without any airs or graces.
Lady Louise, known for her passion for horses much like her grandmother, has recently taken up carriage driving under the guidance of her late grandfather, Prince Philip. She is set to participate in the Meet of the British Driving Society, where 50 horses and ponies will be driven around Windsor Park this weekend.
In a documentary about Prince Philip’s life in 2021, Lady Louise made her public speaking debut, reflecting on her close bond with her grandfather through their shared love for the sport. Alongside her younger brother James, the Earl of Wessex, Louise has grown up away from the public eye, supported by their parents, Prince Edward and Sophie, while completing their education.
This isn’t the first time Lady Louise has been spotted working diligently. In 2022, while awaiting her A-Level results before heading to university, she worked at a garden center, impressing shoppers with her politeness and attentiveness at the tills.
