Soap opera actor Callum Kerr and his wife, Lauren Stacy, have joyfully announced that they are expecting a baby boy later this year, just over a year after the tragic passing of Callum’s mother and stepfather in France. Callum, known for his role as PC George Kiss on the Channel 4 series, shared the news on social media with photos of the couple in matching blue attire, showcasing Lauren’s baby bump.
Their daughter, Isla, born in 2023, is soon to have a little brother. Callum and Lauren tied the knot in a beautiful Scottish ceremony at a castle in the Highlands in January, less than a year after the devastating loss of Callum’s parents in France.
The couple’s families, Dawn and Andrew Searle, were found deceased in southwest France in February the previous year, with authorities attributing the deaths to murder and suicide. The Searles, originally from Scotland, had been living in France for a decade.
Callum, who previously appeared on Hollyoaks, proposed to Lauren in 2024 after the birth of their daughter. The couple’s wedding was a picturesque affair, with Callum in a traditional kilt and Lauren stunning in a strapless wedding gown. Following his departure from Hollyoaks, Callum ventured into new roles including a stint on the Netflix show Virgin River and pursuing a career as a country singer in Nashville.
Despite his professional successes, Callum is still grappling with the tragic loss of his mother. In a heartfelt statement, Callum and his sister, Amanda, addressed the circumstances surrounding their mother’s death, urging respect and privacy as they seek justice and closure.
