A former partner of Brooklyn Beckham has entered the heated dispute that emerged after the chef criticized parents David and Victoria in a scathing critique.

Brooklyn leveled a series of distressing accusations, claiming his family had been sabotaging and manipulating his life for years, vowing never to communicate with them again. In an outburst on his Instagram account, Brooklyn accused his mother of intentionally trying to create tension between himself and his now wife, Nicola Peltz.

Expressing his frustration, Brooklyn stated, “My wife has consistently faced disrespect from my family, despite our efforts to unite as one. My mother has repeatedly introduced women from my past into our lives in ways clearly designed to cause discomfort for us both.”

Afton McKeith, Brooklyn’s former girlfriend, has now stepped forward to share her thoughts on his assertions. The 25-year-old actress disclosed that Brooklyn, 26, grappled with the challenges of being a ‘nepo baby’ and struggled to establish his own identity separate from the Beckham family’s influence.

While there were speculations that Brooklyn’s statements were orchestrated by Nicola and her PR team, Afton, who dated Brooklyn in 2017, affirmed that she believes his words were a genuine and heartfelt plea for assistance. The daughter of TV personality Gillian McKeith remarked, “There has been a lot happening over the years. This wasn’t a sudden occurrence. Brooklyn was speaking the truth in his post. Growing up was tough for him.”

Afton elaborated that Brooklyn always battled anxiety and felt like the world was waiting for him to fail. She mentioned that Brooklyn struggled to live under the shadow of his globally renowned and successful parents, David and Victoria.

Additionally, Afton mentioned that Brooklyn often felt “isolated” as his parents were frequently away, leaving him to spend substantial time with nannies and siblings. She dismissed rumors suggesting that Nicola had authored Brooklyn’s statement, emphasizing his ability to compose the lengthy Instagram post himself.

This week, Brooklyn dramatically severed ties with his parents, asserting, “I have no desire to reconcile with my family. I am not being manipulated; I am standing up for myself for the first time.”

His claims marked the first instance where a Beckham family member directly addressed the feud. Venting on his Instagram account, Brooklyn exclaimed, “Throughout my life, my parents have controlled the narratives in the media about our family. The staged social media posts, family gatherings, and artificial relationships have been a constant in the life I was born into.”

Brooklyn disclosed a claim that Victoria had behaved inappropriately during his wedding in 2022, causing Nicola to flee the room in tears. He recounted, “My mom took over my first dance with my wife, which had been meticulously planned in advance to a romantic song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where my romantic dance with my wife was scheduled, but my mom was waiting to dance with me instead.”

He added, “She danced inappropriately with me in front of everyone. I have never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my life.”

“We wanted to renew our vows to create new joyful memories of our wedding day, not anxiety and shame,” he expressed.
