All air travel to and from Dubai Airports has been halted indefinitely. This suspension affects operations at both Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC) following an explosion in the city earlier today.

Airlines globally have scrapped flights to and from the Middle East due to US and Israeli military actions against Iran and subsequent Iranian counterattacks in the region. Airspace closures have been implemented in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, Iran, Iraq, and parts of Saudi Arabia.

The Government of Dubai Media Office announced the flight suspensions, advising passengers not to go to the airport and to contact their airlines for flight updates. Cooperation from passengers is appreciated, and further updates will be shared as the situation unfolds.

British Airways, Lufthansa, Norwegian Air, Qatar Airways, Virgin Atlantic, and Wizz Air have all made flight adjustments in response to the airspace closures and military actions in the region.

Recent explosions in various Middle Eastern cities, including Dubai, occurred after the US and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Iran. Iran, in retaliation, has targeted American bases and interests in the region, according to the Tasnim News Agency.
