American citizens in 14 different countries, such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar, have received urgent advisories to leave immediately due to escalating tensions with Iran posing significant safety risks. The State Department has set up an emergency task force to enhance security at US diplomatic facilities and aid American nationals in the area. Although no government-organized evacuation flights are scheduled, officials are assisting US citizens in securing spots on commercial services for those wanting to depart the Middle East.

The directive to evacuate immediately was issued by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, emphasizing the top priority of ensuring the safety and security of American citizens. Mora Namdar, Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs, urged Americans to depart from the affected countries promptly using available commercial transportation and provided contact information for those needing assistance from the State Department.

The advisory comes amid ongoing missile strikes between the US-Israel alliance and Iran, now entering the fourth consecutive day. This situation has led to weekend airspace closures affecting major transit hubs like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, causing travel disruptions for hundreds of thousands of passengers. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the mission aims to neutralize Iran’s ballistic missile and naval capabilities.

In response to potential threats, the US launched preemptive strikes against Iran following intelligence indicating planned attacks by Israel that could have endangered American forces.
