Having been discharged from the hospital in Lagos, the British boxer will now continue his recovery at his home in Nigeria. Before doing so, he accompanied his mother to the funeral home where Ghami and Ayodele were laid to rest.

A statement from the local government expressed condolences to the families of the deceased, acknowledging the tragic loss in the road accident involving Anthony Joshua. The government officials extended their prayers for the souls of the departed and offered support to their grieving families.

Joshua, accompanied by his mother, visited the funeral home in Lagos to bid farewell to his friends before their repatriation. The Governors of Ogun State and Lagos State appreciated the public support and assistance received following the unfortunate incident.

The fatal collision occurred when Joshua’s black SUV collided with a stationary truck, resulting in the untimely deaths of his friends. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with authorities searching for the truck driver who illegally parked on the highway shoulder.

Following his discharge from the hospital, the SUV driver provided a statement to the authorities. Preliminary findings suggest that overspeeding and a burst front tire led to the loss of control and subsequent collision with the parked truck. Excessive speed was identified as a contributing factor in the tragic accident.
