Armed police responded to an incident near an Asda store following reports of an aggressive male potentially armed with a knife. The scene unfolded on Littlemoor Lane in Oldham, close to the supermarket, after a member of the public alerted authorities about the man’s threatening behavior.
Witnesses mentioned seeing what appeared to be a knife handle, prompting the deployment of armed police before 1pm. Photographs from the area revealed a significant police presence, with officers focusing on a specific address along the road.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been found. A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police confirmed receiving a call about the aggressive male on Huddersfield Road in Oldham around 12:45pm on Tuesday. The individual reportedly made verbal threats before leaving the scene, with investigations currently underway.
