Police are seeking witnesses and video footage following a hit-and-run incident that resulted in a baby sustaining serious injuries.

Lancashire law enforcement responded to a collision involving a White Ford Transit van and three stationary vehicles (a HGV and two cars) on the M6 slip road at Junction 29 at 4:25 pm on Friday, February 13. The baby, a passenger in one of the cars, was taken to the hospital with severe injuries, while the individuals in the van fled the scene.

In an update on the situation, Lancashire Police appealed for any information or video evidence related to the incident. The statement indicated that efforts are underway to locate the driver and passenger of the van who are believed to have sustained serious injuries.

Sgt Ben Elliott from the Roads Policing Unit expressed concern for the injured baby and appealed to the public for assistance in locating the individuals involved. He urged anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of the collision to come forward.
