BBC Radio host Bill Buckley has announced that he recently underwent treatment for prostate cancer. The 67-year-old presenter, with a broadcasting career spanning over four decades, is known for hosting shows on BBC Radio Berkshire. He has also appeared on television programs like That’s Life and Holiday.

Buckley shared that he underwent a new treatment called High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), which uses sound waves to target and destroy cancer cells. He emphasized the importance of regular check-ups for early detection of cancer.

The presenter revealed that he initially overlooked signs of the disease, with one symptom manifesting as a severe blood clot in his leg. After receiving treatment at Wexham Park Hospital, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to receive care in his local area.

Coincidentally, another BBC radio presenter, Bob Harris, also disclosed his prostate cancer treatment journey recently. Harris expressed gratitude for the support and time to focus on personal well-being during his treatment.
