Colleen Hoover has shared her battle with cancer, revealing her ongoing radiation treatment. The renowned author of the book-turned-movie starring Blake Lively, “It Ends With Us,” disclosed her health journey on social media.
At 46, Hoover updated her followers that she was nearing the completion of her radiation therapy. While she initially disclosed her cancer diagnosis in private last month, she recently confirmed undergoing the final session at Texas Oncology. In an Instagram post, she captioned a photo of herself in a blue hospital gown, expressing gratitude for her treatment experience.
Hoover explained that following a surgical procedure to remove the cancer, she required radiation therapy to prevent its recurrence. Health issues had previously hindered her from promotional activities for her book “Regretting You” and an event with Lukas Gage. Despite missing out on these opportunities, she expressed gratitude for the support received.
In a Facebook post, Hoover shared her cancer diagnosis upon returning home from filming in Canada. She emphasized the importance of prioritizing health and listening to one’s body. Although her latest book, “Woman Down,” is set for release, she acknowledged the impact of her health on promotional activities with fans.
Reflecting on her experience, Hoover mentioned feeling fortunate for a swift recovery and encouraged others to pay attention to their well-being. Despite health challenges affecting her recent projects, her acclaimed movie “It Ends With Us” achieved significant success at the box office.
