Blue Band Member’s Mom Drinks All His Beer!

Published on

Duncan James, a member of the band Blue, shared an amusing anecdote about the downside of living with his 48-year-old mother – she tends to help herself to his beer. Upon returning from a tour, Duncan discovered that his stash of drinks had mysteriously vanished.

The singer humorously recounted the incident, stating that when he went to grab a beer from the fridge, his mother casually informed him that she had consumed them all with her friends. Despite being away, Duncan received a message from his mom expressing how delightful the beer was and how irresistible it proved to be.

Having traveled extensively worldwide, Duncan expressed his appreciation for various beer experiences. He emphasized the simple pleasure of enjoying a cold beer on a summer day, whether for oneself or to share with friends, including his mom’s companions.

During the lockdown, Duncan moved in with his mother Fiona after selling his London flat, and the two enjoyed each other’s company so much that they decided to invest in a shared townhouse in Surrey. Despite his frequent work-related travels, Duncan appreciates the moments when he returns home to his mother’s hospitality, like being greeted with bacon and eggs.

The transition from London to a more laid-back lifestyle in Surrey brought Duncan joy, especially with the spacious private garden at their new residence. He fondly recalled hosting a barbecue for neighbors shortly after moving in, introducing them to his mother and bandmate Anthony Costa while serving them cold beers.

Recently returning from a skiing trip in Italy, Duncan is looking forward to a summer filled with beer gardens and festivals, including his upcoming performance with Blue at Live at Chelsea in June. Additionally, he has collaborated with Coors on a new track aimed at ensuring beer is served at the optimal temperature, engaging fans through social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook.

Reflecting on cherished memories, Duncan expressed his longing to share a beer with his late best friend Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, fondly recalling their initial meeting and the bond they shared. Despite her passing, he treasures the moments they spent together and the unique connection they had.
