While over three million UK households have already made the transition to Digital Voice, many more are yet to switch. BT emphasizes the importance of acting promptly to avoid disruptions to phone and broadband services as the deadline approaches. Customers are encouraged to seek support from their provider and not disregard messages regarding the upgrade.
The process of switching to digital landlines is straightforward for most, with compatibility for many existing BT handsets. Customers can retain their current phone numbers, and pricing remains unchanged. In instances where simple plug-and-play does not suffice, contacting the provider or scheduling an engineer visit may be necessary.
BT also urges customers with special needs, such as users of telecare devices or pendant alarms, to notify their provider promptly for tailored support arrangements.
