Celine Dion has revealed her upcoming special residency at the renowned Paris La Défense Arena, marking her return to live performances following a health setback. The beloved singer was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, a neurological condition causing severe muscle spasms and rigidity, four years ago. Despite this, she is set to grace the stage once again this September for a series of shows.
Expressing her gratitude for the support she has received, Celine shared, “I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life… I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September! I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, obviously a little nervous, but most of all, I’m grateful to all of YOU!”
Ticket prices for the residency range from 89.50 euros to 298.50 euros, with fans encountering difficulties securing tickets during the presale period. Celine Dion enthusiasts took to Twitter to share their struggles with accessing the presale via FNAC, with some encountering unsuccessful attempts.
Tickets are currently available for purchase during the artist presale, with the arena presale scheduled for Thursday at 10 am CEST, followed by the general sale on Friday at 10 am CEST. Celine expressed her excitement about returning to the stage, emphasizing the overwhelming support she has received from her fans.
Fans can register for the artist presale starting on Tuesday, April 7 at 10:00 CEST through Fair AXS on the official Celine Dion website. The residency will run from September to October at the La Defense Arena in Paris, featuring performances on various dates throughout the two months.
