Police in Warrington have initiated an extensive search and are requesting assistance in locating a convicted drug lord who has escaped from prison. Daniel Buckley was last seen at HMP Thorn Cross in Appleton on Saturday morning. Cheshire Police revealed that they are actively investigating leads to find the 37-year-old fugitive and are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.
Described as 5′ 10″ tall with a medium build and dark hair, Buckley was dressed in a grey t-shirt, grey jacket, black joggers, grey Nike sneakers, and carrying a white shopping bag when last seen. He has ties to the Manchester area, specifically Failsworth and Openshaw. Buckley was sentenced in January 2024 to 16 years and four months for his involvement in a criminal syndicate.
Having admitted to charges including conspiracy to supply cocaine, amphetamine, money laundering, and possession of amphetamine with intent to distribute, detectives are actively pursuing various leads to apprehend Buckley. The Liverpool Echo reports that authorities are urging anyone with knowledge of his location to contact Cheshire Police immediately.
