“Coronation Street Star Cast in Practical Magic Sequel”

Published on

A former cast member of the popular TV show Coronation Street has landed a significant role in the upcoming sequel to a beloved movie. Cassie Bradley is set to portray the character of Hannah, a young witch, in the film Practical Magic.

In the movie, Hannah’s magical powers start to surface, leading to a series of events as she grapples with controlling her newfound abilities. Bradley will share the screen with acclaimed actresses Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.

Originally released in 1998, Practical Magic 2 is scheduled to premiere in the UK on September 11, nearly thirty years after the original film. Warner Bros unveiled the first trailer for the sequel in April, offering fans a sneak peek before its theatrical release later this year.

The sequel will see the return of Sandra, 61, and Nicole, 58, reprising their roles as Sally and Gillian Owens, picking up the story 25 years after the events of the first movie. Additionally, familiar faces Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest are back as aunts Frances and Jet, appearing ageless, hinting at some magical intervention.

Joining the stellar cast are Joey King from Kissing Booth and Maisie Williams from Game of Thrones, playing the roles of Sally’s grown-up daughters, alongside Xolo Maridueña and Solly McLeod as their romantic interests.

However, Evan Rachel Wood will not be returning for the sequel, as she confirmed last year on social media that she was not part of the cast due to recasting decisions. Despite this, fans can look forward to an exciting continuation of the beloved story in Practical Magic 2.
