Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard responded strongly to a fan’s comment questioning her decision to work while battling cancer. The 68-year-old actress revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in January, receiving the news just before filming her latest soap, Fair City. Following a significant operation the next month, Callard is now gearing up for the upcoming season of I’m A Celeb South Africa, which was recorded last year and is set to air soon.

In a recent video, Callard shared that she felt exhausted after promoting the show in London, emphasizing her determination to stay active despite her health challenges. When a fan expressed concern about her returning to work so soon, Callard simply stated that staying busy was important to her.

During the I’m A Celeb launch event, Callard boldly declared her defiance against cancer and expressed her nerves about the upcoming show. She also shared positive news with fans, revealing that she may not require a second operation based on her recent hospital visit.

Her consultant informed her that the swelling under her arm was reducing, indicating a positive progression. Callard expressed her joy at this development and mentioned the upcoming steps in her treatment plan, including the possibility of radiotherapy. Despite the uncertainties ahead, she remains optimistic about her recovery journey.
