The actor, known for his role as David Platt on the long-running soap opera, shared the details of his health scare with his on-screen brother Ben Price and former Corrie co-star Colson Smith during a podcast they host called On The Sofa.

The lump, initially mistaken for an ingrown hair, prompted Jack to seek medical attention when it persisted. After consulting a doctor, he underwent surgery to remove the cyst. The procedure, described as gruesome, involved multiple injections and the removal of the sizable mass from his neck. Despite being advised not to watch, Jack caught a glimpse of the extraction in a clock’s reflection and was astonished by the size of the cyst.

In a separate update, Jack and his wife, Hanni Treweek, shared news of their upcoming first child. The couple’s relationship blossomed after they met at a mutual friend’s wedding, following Hanni’s stint on Coronation Street from 2018 to 2020. Prior to his relationship with Hanni, Jack was in a long-term relationship with Lauren Shippey, with whom he shares two children.

Reflecting on his time on the show, Jack expressed interest in potentially continuing his role as David Platt for another 25 years, inspired by the longevity of his co-stars on the series.
