Renowned interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen recently shared his insights on the Cotswolds emerging as a favored destination for celebrities and tourists. With two decades of residency in the area, the 62-year-old has observed the significant changes taking place.
In recent times, high-profile figures like Beyonce, Jay-Z, David and Victoria Beckham, and Kate Moss have invested in properties within the region, enhancing its appeal. Notably, Jeremy Clarkson’s Oxfordshire farm, featured in the popular show Clarkson’s Farm, has also contributed to the Cotswolds’ growing prominence.
While acknowledging the Cotswolds’ increasing popularity, Laurence expressed contentment in remaining distant from the area’s celebrity sphere, emphasizing his lack of interest in being part of it. Regarding his connection with Jeremy, Laurence mentioned their past interactions and expressed concern over Jeremy’s health following his prostate cancer diagnosis.
Commenting on Jeremy’s pub in the vicinity, Laurence humorously remarked that it did not align with his preferences. He playfully highlighted the contrasting vibes between Jeremy’s rustic establishment and his own elegant shop, portraying them as light-hearted rivals in the evolving Cotswolds landscape.
Reflecting on the area’s transformation, Laurence noted the influx of newcomers seeking a different lifestyle away from urban settings. He commended the rise of local businesses promoting a work-life balance without extensive commuting, welcoming the positive changes unfolding in the region.
As part of his touring exhibition, Drawn to Adorn, in collaboration with Buckingham Fine Art, Laurence will showcase his artwork across various UK locations. The exhibition features a sophisticated collection of decorative works inspired by diverse sources, promising a unique experience for art enthusiasts.
Excited about the project, Laurence described the exhibition as a blend of artistry and rock ‘n roll, expressing pride in his recent creations and inviting audiences to witness his artistic evolution firsthand.
Laurence’s Art Tour, Drawn to Adorn with Buckingham Fine Art, is scheduled to run from June 27 to July 11, 2026, at multiple venues across the UK. To acquire Laurence’s artwork, interested individuals can explore the collection online.
