Adam Henson has prepared for a future beyond television once his career in broadcasting comes to an end. The 60-year-old first appeared as a presenter on Countryfile in 2001 after winning a national talent search. In addition to hosting programs like Nigel and Adam’s Farm Kitchen with Nigel Slater and appearing on BBC One’s Inside Out, he has been a regular guest on Radio 4 shows such as On Your Farm and Farming Today.

Apart from his TV work, Adam manages Bemborough Farm in Gloucestershire, which also serves as Cotswold Farm Park, attracting over 70,000 visitors annually. In 1998, Adam and his business partner Duncan took over the farm lease from Adam’s father Joe. Despite his successful television career, Adam emphasizes that farming remains a core part of his identity.

During an episode of the Talking Farming podcast, Adam expressed his passion for farming, stating that even if he were to step away from television, their tourist venture would continue to thrive, connecting with consumers and the public. He shared his sentiments about always considering himself a farmer at heart.

Although Adam has contemplated retiring from farming once his lease ends, he currently resides on the vast 650-hectare property with his wife Charlie. With his children pursuing careers outside of farming, Adam envisions moving to a nearby bungalow in Winchcombe upon retirement, where they plan to keep a few sheep and dogs on a small acreage.

Adam looks forward to the tranquility of countryside living, acknowledging that while it marks the end of an era, he will still relish the beauty of the rural surroundings. Reflecting on the scenic views of the Cotswolds, he expressed gratitude for the picturesque landscape and his fortune in residing there.

Adam is set to make a return to Countryfile at 5:15 PM today, where viewers will witness the introduction of a new rare-breed pig on his farm.
