The Moscow region experienced a significant drone attack that resulted in a fire at an oil refinery, prompting the evacuation of a maternity hospital and apartment complex, as confirmed by the Governor of the area.

The assault, suspected to originate from Ukraine as a long-range strike, caused multiple explosions and left 28 individuals injured.

Governor Andrey Vorobyov stated that a total of 48 drones were intercepted and shot down in the region overnight.

Witnesses captured footage showing flames and explosions at an oil storage facility in Noginsk, which houses 24 storage tanks with a collective capacity of 11,500 cubic meters.

Videos circulated online depicted massive columns of black smoke billowing above the facility as the flames consumed the site.

The storage depot serves as a crucial fuel storage and logistics center in the Moscow region, utilized by traders and fuel companies for storing and transporting petroleum products.
