Living with endometriosis has been a challenging journey for me, filled with pain, limitations, and frustration. I share my experience to raise awareness and prevent other women from enduring similar struggles.
Dealing with this condition led me to dark moments where I questioned my body’s reliability and felt overwhelmed by constant flare-ups, even triggered by healthy foods. Simple tasks like going out or enjoying meals became sources of anxiety, dominating my life and pushing me to seek help desperately.
Despite my efforts, doctors often dismissed my symptoms as typical, attributing them to bad luck or psychological causes. However, the severity of my prolonged and heavy periods contradicted this explanation, eventually leading to a proper diagnosis of endometriosis after a prolonged battle.
Receiving confirmation of my condition brought conflicting emotions. While relieved to have validation, I also felt uneasy that it took so long to be taken seriously. Meeting an endometriosis specialist was a turning point, as they recognized my struggles and guided me towards appropriate treatment, correcting past medical oversights.
The journey of managing endometriosis continues, marked by challenges and breakthroughs. Through sharing my story on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and my podcast, I aim to empower others to seek proper care and advocate for themselves in the face of dismissive medical practices.
Endometriosis has reshaped my life, prompting me to explore anti-inflammatory approaches that have not only eased my pain but also benefitted countless women facing similar health issues. I believe education on menstrual health and improved workplace support for women are crucial steps toward addressing these issues.
With my women’s health brand, Found, I am committed to creating educational initiatives for schools and workplaces, aiming to dispel myths, provide accurate information, and foster a supportive environment for all individuals.
While endometriosis posed significant challenges, it also ignited a sense of purpose in me. I am grateful for the opportunity to support others on similar journeys and offer a message of solidarity: you are not alone.
