The 72-year-old Labour peer was questioned by authorities at a police station after being arrested on suspicion of misconduct in a public office. It was reported that the emails Mandelson sent to Epstein contained sensitive state information.
The arrest occurred 16 days after investigators initiated an inquiry into the allegations. Searches were conducted at Mandelson’s luxurious London home and a rented farmhouse in Wiltshire. Upon returning home, Mandelson was observed entering his house and later leaving the property, boarding a black car that departed.
